The models in this new series are based on Höfner originals of the ´60s, '70s and ´80s. However, the Contemporary models are no yesterday's collectors' items, but designed for the tough live performance of today's guitarist. All Contemporary semi-acoustic instruments are fitted with a center block for added sustain. The Shorty offers full scale length combined with such small overall dimensions that it can be taken anywhere. Gigbag included.

The models in this new series are based on Höfner originals of the ´60s, '70s and ´80s. However, the Contemporary models are no yesterday's collectors' items, but designed for the tough live performance of today's guitarist. All Contemporary semi-acoustic instruments are fitted with a centre block for added sustain. The Höfner Club semi-acoustic guitars were among the favourite instruments of Lennon and Harrison. The 2008 model includes a sustain block for a more modern sound. By virtue of its compact body dimensions it is less susceptible to feedback. Two original Höfner 'Diamond' pick-ups. Nickelplated hardware. Available in antique brown sunburst (SB), transparent-red (R) and black (BK).
