Resonator Guitars
The unique sound and looks of steel-bodied resonator guitars have always held a special place in music, from the earliest blues records right up to the present day. Whether you play slide, fingerstyle, plectrum or just strum, these guitars will take you on a very special musical trip. The unique sound of steel bodied resonator guitars have been the distinguishing feature on blues records right up to the present day. The original 1920’s concept of the design was to produce more volume from the instrument at time when amplification had yet to be introduced. Resonator guitars are ideal for slide guitar, as they generally have higher actions and they are strong enough to handle open tunings.
